Throughout my life, a deep longing for good health has been a driving force behind my journey towards self-improvement. But, it’s safe to say that even the best of intentions can go bad. There’s no denying that in todays day and age the quest to “be healthy” can potentially take you down some very dark rabbit holes. Disordered eating, body dysmorphia, over exercising, alcohol abuse and depression were just a few of the demons I encountered along my way here. And after years of destructive behavior, a life changing and near death experience completely changed the trajectory of my life. I like to think of this moment as the moment I came back home to myself.
I dedicated significant time and effort to embracing a healthier way of life by delving into diverse diets and workout routines. While some approaches provided momentary improvements to my well-being, many posed challenges for long-term sustainability. Eventually, after some reflection, I carefully analyzed the aspects that deeply connected with me and effortlessly integrated them into my genuine daily routine. Years later when I became very ill with a mysterious diagnosis—that no doctor could heal me from or even understand, I turned towards the path of holistic health and healed myself from the inside out. This pursuit has led me to explore a myriad of modalities within the realm of holistic health and wellness. From traditional practices such as holistic nutrition and yoga to modern approaches like functional medicine and somatic exercises, each discovery has added a new layer to my understanding of what it means to truly thrive. This continuous quest for optimal well-being has not only honed my knowledge but has also fostered a profound appreciation for the intricate connection between mind, body, and spirit. Through this exploration, I have come to realize that good health is not simply the absence of illness or what our bodies look like but a holistic state of balance that encompasses physical, mental, spiritual and emotional well-being. It is this realization that continues to inspire me on my path towards a life filled with vitality and wholeness.
After years of studying nutrition, exploring various forms of movement and then later graduating from The Institute of Integrative Nutrition, I knew deep at the center of my core that I wanted to help guide other woman. Women, who like me have been on a pursuit for optimal health and well-being. My story is just that, my own and each of us beautifully unique beings will get to discover our own way of navigating this life long journey towards good health.
I want to empower you to dive deep and discover who you really are. I want to empower you to get to know your body, mind and soul for perhaps what may be for the very first time. I want to empower you to build a deep loving connection to mother nature and to all the tools we’ve had in our possession from the very start.
When we truly connect with all aspects of ourselves we begin to listen and understand what our bodies and health are trying to communicate to us. We become our own healers and remarkably begin to take preventative action for ourselves for what we all can hope is a long, happy and healthy life.
